Guest guest
This is an excerpt from the book " Ramakrishna And the Vitality of Hinduism " by Solange Lemaitre (page 98) *************************************************************** Then, looking around him and seeing a piece of glass, he picked it up and thrust its point between the eyebrows of his chela, crying: " Concentrate your mind on this point. " Ramakrishna obeyed. He related afterward that, as soon as the Divine Mother's form appeared to him, he slashed the vision in two, using his thought as a sword. This last barrier having finally fallen, his spirit raised itself above the level of phenomena and he was lost in nirvikalpa-samadhi. Thus he remained for three days, totally inert. Surprised by this unexpected outcome, Totapuri demanded: " Is it possible that he has gained in a single day what cost me forty years of effort? " (The Gospel of M., page 29) This orthodox monk, the naked man, who never stayed more than three days in one place, remained at Dakshineswar for eleven months. He too had something to learn. ********************************************************************** ******************************** Om Sthapakaya ca Dharmasya Sarva dharma Swarupine Avatara Varishtaya Ramakrishnaaya Te Namaha. ******************************************************************
