Guest guest
Dear Jagannathji, Yes there were some doubts raised by Swami Yoganandaji (Yogin Maharaj) initially but he finally said to Swamiji that "It is Sri Ramakrishna who is making you do all this." (Talks with Swami Vivekananda by Saratchandra) In what high esteem Swamiji's Gurubhais held him is to be appreciated by their conversations and reminescenses after Swamiji's passing away. Talks of Swami Turiyananda, Letters of Swami Turiyananda, and Reminescences of Rakhal Maharaj and Mahapurush Maharaj are full of it. They identified Swamiji compltely with Thakur. In fact on occasions they went to the extent of saying said that both are one, the twin-personality. The Holy Mother held her beloved Naren as the shadow of Thakur. She always had portraits of Thakur and Swamiji in her room. She had different pictures of Swamiji hanging on the wall. One picture of the Mother shows Swamiji's different pictures hanging on the wall. They are still there in Mayer Baari (Mother';s House) in Bagh Bazaar. After Swamiji's passing away there was a thought whether Swamiji's image should also be worshipped along with Thakur. Their the Mother came up with a straight and doubt-silencing remark. "Jekhane Narener Puja Hoy na, Okhane Thakur Puja Nay na" "Where Naren is not worshipped, there Thakur does not accept the worship." This silenced everyone as it came from none other than Mother herself. In this connection there is also an incident that Mahendranath Gupta (M) did not think highly of the Seva activities of the Order. Around 1910 he once went to Varanasi Sevashrama and was seeing the 'Shib Jnane Jiva Seva" there. Though admiring it, he was yet not sure whether Thakur taught that or not. Incidently the Holy Mother was also there at that time. The Brahmacharis and Sanyasis asked the Mother in front of M, whether these works are in sync with Thakur's teachings. Mother replied,"Of course this is Thakur's work and in accordance with his teachings. With His blessings this is being carried out." Then the Brahmacharis laughingly asked M what would he say now. M replied,"When the Mother herself has said this can there be any further doubt." This Bhava comes often that Thakur-Ma-Swamiji were all One, Kali, playing different roles. Each revered the other two profusely. As Sita and Hanuman wiith Sri Ramachandra, the Mother and Swamiji were companions of Thakur's Lila. That is why on Thakur's passing away Holy Mother cried, "Mother Kali where have you gone". She always thought of Thakur as Mother Kali in a male form. And Thakur said about the Holy Mother that she is the same Kali as in the temple. And Swamiji said to Saratchandra, that the One whom Thakur called Kali has entered his body after Thakur's passing away, and that is what makes him do all these works. What a wonder; can this be ever comprehended through mere reasoning. Sthapakaya cha Dharmasya, Sarvadharma Swarupine, Avatara Varishthaya, Ramakrishnaya te Namah. **************************************************************************************************
