Guest guest
Dear forum, In many movies, e.g. Exorcist, Salems Lot etc Evil is depicted as an actual unseen force that can harm people in all sorts of ways including physically. Is this accepted in Hinduism and where does such evil force stand with respect to Brahman the Universal Spirit which is Satchitananda. Is this evil force the opposite force of Brahman. Please enlighten me if possible. Best Wishes, Vijaya.
Guest guest
Dear What I feel- Just Imagine bright light covered with glass The glass is bright also. but desires are colouring the glass. darker the desires and darker the glass so darker the light coming out. Only in human form we have the capacity to control our desire so we can change the colour of glass . This brite light is like satcchidananda. Glass is our ego, colour is our desires and later this will be prarabdh , Dark coloured glass is like evil spirite while breaking the glass is like unity with satcchidananda. So evil spirite also is powered by the same bright light and some day the dark glass will be washed . Again , please forgive me for my ignorance. --- Vijaya Kambhampati <
Guest guest
Thakur has told that Brahman is beyond words - the best one can say about it is " Sat-Chit-Ananda " . Both Good and Evil exist in the realm of Maya. Brahman is beyond both Good as well as Evil - it is " Dwaitadwaita vivarjitam " - beyond dwaita and adwaita - as Mahimacharan says somewhere in Gospel. It is beyond " Asti " and " Nasti " as Swamiji says in Gospel after his visit to Gaya. With pranams, Nikhil. Guest guest
As as other people have explained Brahman is attributeless. But evil or the Evil God is as powerful as God.The only difference being selfishness and unselfishness =>Vivekananda's intrepretation.
