Guest guest
I had posted this earlier but prob wrote wrong address. If already there ,pls ignore it. Dear Friends I have a strange question which I feel is almost like " banned " in pure spirituality circles. But,I must ask, because it is troubling me for days. Question, in short, is " How does Ramakrishna-Vivekananda philosophy views things like aura healing, past life regression, para psychology etc? " I have been a follower of Vivekananda for past many years and am still. But,I heard that after Swami Abhedananda started taking much interest in these fields,he was highly discouraged leading ultimately to his founding a separate Ashram by himself. I have been to that ashram once in Kolkata. Now,it so happened that I saw an article in a local daily on two aura healers in Bangalore. Suddenly,if you may allow to put it this way, devil took over me, and I started enquiring about them through mails and all. This is a thing,I strictly forbade myself to do all these years with the feeling that the hero my life, Vivekananda, probably never liked that. Inspite of that,I went ahead this time and would like to share some experiences with you all. I met two people, one Tarun and one Rashmi.(Rashmi,I met yesterday only). Tarun taught me the basics of aura healing, how to do that etc etc. Rashmi, yesterday, told about her company which she says is the only company in the world today which deals exclusively on this. Now,the strangest thing I heard from rashmi yesterday, were these: 1)She can delve into me and know about my past lives as well as my future 2)Seeing my Aura and my past lives, she would know what are my problems at the level of physiology and mind and she can solve them using the techniques of aura healings,in a few sessions. At the level of physiology, she claims she can cure migraine easily as well as many other deseases. At the level of mind, she can know where are the energy knots and solve them. Thus, years of problems, like getting fear, wild dreams, inertness etc etc can all be solved very quickly. 3)When I asked her that the traditional yogic methods never promise such fast healings and that it may take several births as well to solve those problems, she claims that these she can solve in just a few sessions. So,now there I am, confused to an extent. Should I give it a try or not? Can it spoil me? The years of Japam, meditation that I have been doing following Sri Ramakrishna,Vivekananda as my ideals, the known/unknown benefits that I accrued slowly, can they might just vanish/corroded by Rashmi? Must I have that legendary patience to go ahead in this spirituality which once Narada advised a saint? Is really there no short cut? Then, how is it that Art of Living's Ravi Shankar's disciples claim that by just inhaling and exhaling out using a particular method(sudarshan kriya),one can have fast and efefctive solutions to his problems? I hardly hear his disciples ever talking so passionately about celibacy, pratyahara, disattachment, vivek, variagya as we hear from any serious disciple of Ramakrishna,Vivekananda and other traditional Yogic schools. Then, how come, today in Bangalore, lakhs and lakhs of people from all over the world have gathered together to do sudarshan kriya? Or is it that the long methods are passe and now we have these short cuts, which doest not require my life to be a yoga but just a few hours of doing this or that and in a few months or years, all my problems gone!! I am confused. Biswatosh
