Guest guest
I am trying to reply to Message number 2 of satrajit Gupta: According to Vedanta, the feeling that we are all in bondage is an obstacle to to self-realization. The moment the veil of ignorance is removed, we realize our true nature. People like Sri Ramakrishna never felt bound because they always were aware that they were " Paramatma " " Supreme consciousness " . But most of us are bound and limited by our mind and senses and view the world through the mind and are obviously subject to happiness and misery- the two principal states of mind. In order to discard this veil of ignorance we need spiritual practices- Studies, meditation, worship, satsang etc. As far as I understand, Vedanta does not raise such questions as why God created the world and when will He end his creation, etc., since it is irrelevant once we realize who we really are. So vedanta( Spiritual philosophy) prescribes various paths for self- realization. I hope this helps. --- ------ > > > > >
