Guest guest
Hi All, Apart from why cow is sacred, the other frequently asked question is Why Vegetarian? With regards to this let me give some scientific explanation.. All Carnivorous animals have a very short intestine suitable for meat and flesh. Since the intestine is very short the food doesnt stay for long in the intestine and after digestion any toxins are quickly excreted. In contrast all herbivorous animals have very long intestines (for example cow.. When we see cow we first see its huge stomach as we cant imagine a cow without a stomach;)). This is also the case with humans whose intestine is very long.. So the meat has to stay longer in the intestine and it starts decaying and producing toxins which stay for a very long time in the body. Even to digest the meat completely it takes as long as 72 hours. All this may lead to various diseases, Cholestrol etc.. In contrast fruits and vegetables are easily digested and comparitively produce less toxins.. (Uncooked food is better than food cooked leading to loss of vitamins) Also since they take 5-6 hours to completely get digested they tend to make one active and healthy.
