Guest guest
I realised mandir might mean man + andar = mandir. Meaning Mandir (temple) is a place where its more likely for one to look in to ones own mind as compared to other places. This happens because the environment of madir (temple) is maintained to be pure and serene. And when people pray there with pure feelings it adds to the serenity of the place. Also i guess when (pran pratishthaa) is done for an idol an extremely small "ansh" of lord gets installed in the idol. Sri Ramakrishna being a priest of the temple means that Kaali would have taken the form of an idol and Kaali may come to life if someone prays to her with true heart in that temple. Hence it's necessary to honour and worship the idol with true heart. I guess i can say mandir exists wherever pure mind exists.
