Guest guest
*Indian Students Association*, Arizona State University An announcement for the Phoenix area Vedanta enthusiasts and followers of Sri Ramakrishna. Swami Sarvadevananda of the Vedanta Society of Southern California, Hollywood has been visiting the Phoenix valley every so often during the past several years fulfilling the desire of the local devotees. Recently, the Ramakrishna Foundation of Los Angeles with the encouragement of Swami Swahananda (the head of the Vedanta Society, www.vedanta.org), has bought a house in Tempe (about 1500 s. ft) near the ASU campus for its use as a monastery following the noble wish of a donor. A part of the house will be used for a shrine where worship, talks and bhajans will be introduced. For larger meetings, however, we could use the hall facility at the ASU Memorial Union close by due to our nonprofit status. Swami Sarvadevananda and other Swamis will continue visiting the Phoenix area more often now to tend the devotees' spiritual needs. Both Swami Swahananda and Sarvadevananda will be in the Ramakrishna Monastery (1138 E. Henry, off Curry/Scottsdale Rd, Tempe) on Friday, April 28 at 2 pm until 1 pm the following day, April 29 th. There will be a brief Puja ceremony at 7 pm on Friday and 10 am on Saturday respectively. Following the Puja ceremony the Swamis will meet the devotees and discuss about the future visits of Swami Sarvadevananda and other related monastery activities. Please join us and enjoy the Vedanta fellowship with our Swamis on this auspicious occasion!
