Guest guest
Divya, At the outset I congratulate you that you have contemplated taking sannyasa and are not interested in Married life. Since you are devotee of the Holy Trio it would be beneficial if you could associate with a Sarada Math nun or monastery either personally or by doing service at their centre. By association with the head of the monastery they will be able to gauge your potential. You will find a list of centres at this web-site. http://www.srisaradamath.org/ Observe the lifestyle and their work and live in the monastery as a pre-probationer for some months (They do that here in US, I dont know if its accepted in the Sarada Math). There is also Gauri Ma's ashram in Calcutta which is an independent entity which grants sannyasa.called the Sri Sri Saradeshwari Ashrama. Its on the outskirts of Calcutta. Also if you are associated with a Ramakrishna Math and know the Swami in charge well he will recommend you to the nearest sarada Math. As far as I know the Ramakrishna order stresses this personal contact with their centres before joining the Order. I guess Sarada Math will be looking for your long term interest via a recommendation from a Swamiji from the Order. There are lots of monastic member on this list who can comment better. But if you want any email address or personal contact with the Nuns at Sarada Math(in India) I can ask my wife to enquire with the Nuns/swaminis at our centre(San Francisco). I pray to MA to help you succeed in your endeavor. regds Vinay Mamidi Strength is life, weakness is death.- Swami Vivekananda Messenger with Voice.
