In one of the communications to hi Guru Bhai Swamiji says,

that Birth of shri Ramakrishna should be marked as the beggining of

SAYA YUGA.How we should understand this?

 

kali yuga and satya yuga can carry on simaltaniously?

OR

This is meant only for those who are spiritually advanced and blessed

by Shri Ramakrishna?

 

OR

We should only esoteric meaning of the point

I think Swamiji was emphasising that Sri Ramakrishna has broken the mould of

previous prophets in addressing the needs of not just one section of mankind

but the whole of mankind. In that sense it heralds entry into a new age of

enlightenment.

Dear Naren:

I've read the books you've mentioned. The " Yuga " concept is very fascinating. However, I don't know if it's critical to know which Yuga we're in. For me, I just want to know that I'm doing what I need to do each day to advance my own sprititual progress, and then let the universe unfold as it may.

 

I believe Ramakrishna may have commented on Yugas, but I'm not near my Gospel at the moment.

I look forward to reading other member comments. Thank you for initiating this topic -- and, I'll admit that I do hope Sri Yukteswar is correct!
