Guest guest
BBC News 24 - Mumbai Bombings I was interviewed on BBC news 24 this afternoon on the issue of Mumbai Bombings. The message I gave out on behalf of Hindu Council UK was: We send our condolences to the victims and their families and share in their grief. Hindus will not cower against such cowardly attacks. A robust signal of defiance must be sent to the fringe group that is trying to disrupt and divide our society in the name of religion. We together with London Inter faith Centre are holding a vigil for the victims to send out a message of solidarity on this issue from all faiths. Another issue to look at is: To ask some of the faith communities to rein in their fringe elements as Interfaith can only do so much. I was asked what should faiths do? The reply was that they should re-examine the teachings of their religion in light of rationality and religious pluralism. We request participation from other faith members at this vigil. Vigil for the victims of the Mumbai bombings Sunday 16th July Time: 3 to 5pm Venue: London Inter faith Centre 125 Salusbury Road London NW6 6RG jay lakhani
Guest guest
Dear Members I would also like to add humbly and offer my deepest sympathy for the victims, thier families and all those who were exposed to the dispiccable acts of brutality. Ma look after the families of the survivors and the victims of this tragedy and give our Nation to stand up in unity and defeat the evil that corroborates again my country and her citizens.
