Guest guest
Dear brothers and sisters, I managed to visit Dakshineshwar for the first time in early March. It was truly a wonderful spiritual experience for me and affected me in more ways than one. I've written an account of my visit and would like to share with others on this list. Since it's a bit long, ive posted it on the following link: http://dakshineshwar.livejournal.com/ Jai Sri Ramakrishna! Cheers, Sudheesh
Guest guest
Thank you Sudheesh. Thakur has welcomed you into his arms. That is why Dakshineswar appeared like your own home. All of Thakurs devotees feel just that. I know of a Monk of the Order who went unguided to Thakurs room and sat there, when he went there for the first time in his premonastic life. It was only later that he came to know that it was the room where Thakur lived. The next time you visit please keep a garland aside for Thakurs photo in his room. If you give it to the attendant he will place it on the photograph for you. Mother Kali is represented in two places at Dakshineswar. In the Temple and in Thakurs photograph in his room. This is my own feeling. Thank you so much for the detailed description. I was there some time back and I visited again through your excellent narration. Love & Regards, Jagannath. Guest guest
Hi Sudheesh Sree, Yes I read your experience in Daksineshwar, it was very moving and very purposeful, may you have strong memories of Ramakrishna's abode. I have been to Dakshineshwar too, during my stay in India, I lived in India for 10 years and I went to school in Belur. I believe we must believe Ramakrishna's spirit is everywhere in the World and indeed in the Universe. So we must make his presence felt where ever we may lay our hat and stay. The Vedanta Centre in Buckinghamshire too is a beautiful place and the spirit of Ramakrishna can be felt very strongly in England. Mother is always with us and she gave us her dearest son Ramakrishna to help us find the way back to mother. Thank you for posting your account of Dakineshwar. Sincerley and with prayers, Neil Mukherjee.
Guest guest
Hi Sudheesh, This post on Dakshineshwar visit has such a divine touch that undoubtedly it would make readers' eyes tearful. This live description along with a vivid personal experience have made us feel that we are mising a great gift of life by not being able to go there. You are right, we must be directed and destined by God to go there in any part of our lives. But for that, we should be able to lift our minds to such a great height. It needs lot of Sadhana coupled with simplicity and Anuraag for God to reach there and have experiences like you have. It makes us feel that persons like you truly deserve to be there and these great Tirthas which proclaim the greatness of human divinity are alive till this date because of devotess of the Great Mother like you. I am myself touched so much by reading your description that I truly desire to go there. Satrajit Gupta Next-gen email? Have it all with the all-new Mail Beta.
