i read those discussions on caste system;

iam a keralite and this place was called a mental asylum by

swami vivekananda for its caste system...

in what ever way u may try to justify it and its intensions in practice

it is an abominable vice.. it degrades humans even blow worms.

in caste system who is it to decide who is a brahmana etc? if u give

that authority to the brahmins ,the result is they become superior and

they rule.

if u say those divisions are only job oriented then u cannot regard

any caste superior; but v can see in our scriptures a brahmin is one

with sattva..goodness(lets say).. this again makes them superior.

 

it may be accepted as an innate quality .. then no human .. but just

nature can decide and place men in to those groups. human judge ment

is always prejudiced...by ones own views and quality..

the goodness u see is the goodness u want to see.. u deny the

possibilities of existence of any other goodness.. so lets not discuss

more abt value of caste system..

 

again there is no truth in saying that ony a brahminical lane can

preserve the vedas..etc.. its rubbish there is no use of preserving

vedas like parrots..for chanting.. with out understanding and

recognising its crux.

they say vedas are the recodings of some enlightenment..

if so to sing them is foolish..

to achieve them is tobe aspired for..

 

today we know,that, we dont know what most passages in the vedas mean..

therare scores of interpretations..from sayana to shankara..

from very ,mundane to spiritual superlative.

this is due to our way of preserving the vedas.. its passed on to

younger generations via caste system ..no one understands any thing..

they mearly chant the purushasukta..

thus the vedic tradition of realization is lost..

now words ofsri ramakrishna , vivekananda ramana maharshi etc shuld be

treated as veda.. for they r the realized souls.

 

in kerala we very well know the sub-humane nature of caste system.

to allow it to exist for socio-political reasons is dangerous.

even as ambedkar said we must take away reservations (job) on basis of

caste after a time.inter caste marriages should b encouraged for the

shattering of this inauspicious atrocity.
