Dear Sir, try reading the Great Master by Sw.Saradananda, and books by Swamiji, and Holy Mother's books as many as you could..Then you can make a conclusion yourself about this matter. May Maa, Thakur and Swamiji bless us all.. Regards, prem Shankar Sridharan <ss1969au wrote: Dear Friends, I am a follower of Sri Ramakrishna and took initiation from the Math.

Hi Shankar,

What ever sadhana Sri Ramakrishna has done , he has

distributed the fruits to the desciples. He gave them

Renunciation, Descrimination, knowledge and devotion

without them putting great efforts. All that he did

was for the desciples. With a look or touch he could

impart spirituality. For instance Read the stories of

Turiyananda, Girish Chandra Ghosh, Swamiji,

Adbhutananda etc in the books

1) They lived with God

2) God lived with them

(I think the author is chetananda)

As far as he is concerned (meaning Sri ramakrishna) he

never needed any of those sadhanas for himself as he

was the ever free, ever pure Satchidananda who took

the human form. Also his doing sadhana was to set as

example for common people (All this is evident from

Gospel of Ramakrishna and Life of Ramakrishna and many

other books and saints biography's and AutoBiographies

: for instance Autobiography of Yogi praises Master

Mahasaya who was desciple of ramakrishna.. then what

to say about the master himself!!!). And if anyone

still challenges then I have to say

1) Let them complete all the 63 tantric methods which

sri ramakrishna has completed (To successfully

complete one tantric method and attain mastery takes

one lifetime)

2) Let them attain all the states of Bhakti including

Mahabhava in one lifetime (Only Incarnations can have

Mahabhava and Bhairavi Brahmani proved with the help

of Scriptures and Bhagavata infront of renowned

Visnavas of whom ISKCON is only a mere fraction. )

3) Let them see the forms of all gods and Goddesses

4) Let them attain the state of Nirvikalpa Samadhi in

just 1 day as Thakur has attained (Thakur's Guru

Totapuri or Nangta as he is known took 40 years to

attain that state)

5) Let them have that breadth and depth in accepting

all paths and saying from experience that all paths

lead to same goal

6) And most importantly let them transform people by

touch nay mere look.

Do you think all this is possible for normal humans..

ISKCON is a fanatic sect though I should say that they

are devotees of the Lord and their path is fine along

with their philosophy (Bheda- Abheda tattva or

Achintya Bhedaabheda as it is called). But they have

no right to say others path is wrong. I should add

that even I was hurt by their comments regarding my

and many others path and my idol.. Sri Ramakrishna

never condemned any path..(He scolded his beloved

naren for this on one occassion saying: God can be

approached by many paths and the scavenger enters

through the back door, but you need not use it)

So I request all to take the comments and arguments of

ISKCON with a pinch of salt. However let us respect

them for their auterity and purity for they are

devotees of the Lord.

Regards,

Kalyan

As somebody mentioned, I would take statements made by ISKCON with a rather large pinch of salt.Extending the argument made by ISKCON, why was Sri Krishna born as a child, why did his parents have to look after one who supported the whole universe ?

Why did he have to go and receive an education, being the all-knowing One ?IMO, as in Sri Ramakrishna's case it was for us to have an ideal to look up to.-Girish
