Guest guest
Excerpted from the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna p.162 Monday 9/7/07 The Master Said: " But you must remember that nothing can be achieved except in its proper time. Some persons must pass through many experiences and perform many worldly duties before they can turn their attention to God: so they have to wait a long time. If an abscess is lanced before it is soft, the result is not good; the surgeon makes the opening when it is soft and has come to a head. Guest guest
Dear Venu Gopal, We were prompted to address the first of the 3 questions you have asked, for people who live a Blissful life and have realised God within shall be able to help us with their thoughts on that topic. ** Theodore Rubin says, " The problem is not that there are problems. The problem is expecting otherwise and thinking that having problems is a problem. " This is not to slight what problems you might have - but just to say that it is not an unusual occurence. ** If we tackle the problem with a " Divine Armour " we shall see that it was only a Blessing in disguise sent from our Beloved Lord. Easier said than done....Hard as it might be to see this while going through troubled times, if we seek consolation in those who have walked the path we shall learn to use the problems for our own progress. ** Tells us if we think of MORE of the Lord in our " good times " or when we are " troubled " ?? Did not the austere Kunti Devi pray to the Lord to bless her with difficulties ALL the time so that she might remember and seek the Lord's Refuge ALL the time? ** Brother Lawrence says: 1. offer Him your sufferings, and return Him thanks for the favors He has given you, and still gives you, in the midst of your troubles... 2. I did not pray for any relief, but I prayed for strength to suffer with courage, humility, and love 3. I DO not pray that you may be delivered from your pains; but I pray GOD earnestly that He would give you strength and patience to bear them as long as He pleases. 4. beseech Him humbly and affectionately (as a child his father) to make you conformable to His holy will. ......these are some thoughts that come to mind. May we be Blessed with Love, Light & Strength Peace, Peace, Peace, Van
Guest guest
Namaste, Practice spiritual disciplines, seek out Holy Company, find a teacher and follow their instructions. When what is not joy in you is gone then you will have it and not before. You must take the road to reach the destination. All my love and prayers for your sucess, Bob Rose
Guest guest
It is the mind that creates all the problems.. When we start spiritual life, sadhana etc our mind tries its best to resist and defeat us. But continuing the sadhana with will power ultimately liberates us. Also the lord graces us by removing most of the difficulties that the mind poses us.
