Dr Shastry's Research paper

Dear Friends, Namaste, Om Namah Sivaya.

It was great yesterday for me to have begun the Sanskrit course at Sivananda Yoga Vedanta centre, Putney (London). We shared several issues about the specialities about Sanskrit - both as a language and literature.

We shd remember that Sanskrit, as a classical language, has a spoken form and a unique literature. I thought of sending this e mail which puts many things in a nutshell. That apart, in this write up, I've also introduced the new wave in Sanskrit learning in these post modern days - a new trend and a global one!

Apart from India, in USA they have taken that in a big way. Thousands of people have taken up to speak Sanskrit in their daily walks of life. I hope this inspires all and . . .After you go thro the material, pl send me your additions to my views and any feed back.

Pl do not hesitate to tell your friends who can join the course At the Shivananda Yoga Centre Putney on Wednesday 26 Sept,

between 6.30 pm and 8 pm (and NOT 8.30). Thanks. Londonprabhu

There really appears to be something about learning Sanskrit these

days. A new-found interest in learning Sanskrit appears to have

developed in me as well.

Jay, I am unable to download the attachment mentioned. Could you

please email it to me?

I have personally found this link very useful to learn Sanskrit
