Guest guest
Dear Russ, You asked an extremely difficult and yet very very personal question. Please hold on to your faith and God and things will pass. Forbear, forbear, forbear. I know it is easier said than done but I have read it time and again from the writings of the 'Illumined Souls' and it HAS to be true. I have heard a Christian saying, God gives us only that much suffering which we can bear (if you can maintain a positive attitude towards suffering). Be positive! In my opinion, OF COURSE of you get 'mad' with your personal GOD and that only shows how much you think of Him/Her to be your own. In Hindu tradition, this process is used very effectively to come closer to God. Please try to find the Bengali poet 'Kamalakanta' songs called 'Shyama Sangeet' and you will find that he had an amazing relationship with Mother Kali, a very popular but dark Goddess in North India, mainly Bengal. In his beatiful poems he calls Her names and challenges Her. It is hard for me to translate those passionate lines, but one of the songs go like this .... " I do not know why people call you a Loving Mother...If you are a Loving Mother, how can your son have so much suffering... " . He calls Her " Crazy " too in other songs and has a very very loving relationship. It fills my heart every time I hear those songs. Russ, hope this helps and may Mother Kali bless you.
