Guest guest
Sri Ramakrishna did oppose goat sacrifice at Dakshineswar. He did not go to any. When prasad was offered he never ate any. He just touched it with his lips in case Ma Kali gets offended. There are accounts in the Kathamrita where MasterMoshai writes that Sri Ramakrishna is upset about the slaughter and stays in the room and does not go to the temple at that time. I replied that I would try to find out the answer. Can you answer the question? --Girish (of SRKP & WHSW) (SRKP is the acronym for Sri RamaKrishna Parivar. Guest guest
Dear Girish, First of all, I am so happy to hear about the satsang. If by chance you're located in and around Detroit, MI, USA, I would love to join the satsang. I can't express how much I am waiting for a satsang with Thakur's devotees. Getting back to your question, in the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna, a devotee asks the same question to Thakur. His reply was that it is suited for people with the nature of tamas and that his mind is in a state where he can't watch it. He continued to say that he sees that the body has fallen but the soul still exists (he is not speaking these words but is really SEEING). By the above statements, he is not supporting animal sacrifices. As he always said, religion should cater to people of all natures (sattwa, rajas and tamas). He also said that if you can't watch this event, refrain from that event. Jai Sri Ramakrishna, Prasad

And aslo he understand well that nothing is 100% good & 100% bad. Correct me if I'm wrong, brothers. Guna Kanthans
