Guest guest
I agree. The words of Jesus "I am the way,the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me." have been similarly misconstrued. Sri Ramakrishna used to say that for understanding shastras it is advisable to listen it from a learned/realised soul to avoid confusion. There are many stories in Bhagavat and Mahabharata which illustrate that God takes the form his devotee wants to see Him in, thereby strengthening his belief. In final essence there is only One Satchidananda, call it by whatever name you like- Universal Consciousness (formless aspect) or with form which has immense variety to suit an individual's taste and/or upbringing. When Sri Krishna says, 'take refuge in me' He does not mean just one aspect Krishna, but God in any form (or formless aspect) for it is He and He alone which exists in this universe. A man realises this when his mind reaches those dizzy heights of Samadhi. Regards Chetan Merani
