Guest guest
My 2 cents on the comments from sister Ratna:When plague broke out in Calcutta, Swamiji wanted to sell most of the Math premises and use the proceeds to serve the victims of the disaster. Holy mother intervened and told him that more people in the present and future will be benefited by the existence of the Math. Now we know the importance of Sri Ramakrishna Math and the service the monks of that order do for spiritual aspirants like us. As Swamiji mentioned in the "Secret Of Work", the greatest service to man is not in providing him with food, shelter and clothing but giving him the knowledge by which he can break the cycle of birth and death. Temples, churches etc are aids in for people who want to achieve that goal. The fact that most of those places are not catering to spiritual aspirants but are mere religious places is not a reason that they shouldn't exist. The big Kali temple built by Rani Rasmani has been an inspiration for many spiritual aspirants in reaching their goal. As always, there will be only handful of these people who will make the best use of the "Living Mother" in that temple.Pranams,PrasadPosted by: "Princess ratna" rajraniran
