Guest guest
Hello all, I was wondering if someone could tell me more detail about the photo of Sri Ramakrishna known as the altar photo. I have a copy on my altar but this past June I purchased the Swami Saradananda 2 volume set of " Ramakrishna the Great Master " and the photo included there(Vol. 1 first plate after page viii) and saw the same photo only with much more and different detail. It is remarkable, in fact, in that one can see the different colored tiles on the ground and His eyes, which in my altar photo are so darkened as to not be able to see them clearly, are strikingly visible. Does anyone know (Jay?) if this one is the " original " from which all the others are copies and therefore which suffer the darkening of reproduction? Is this one retouched? I´d be very interested to hear what anyone knows about this. Best, José
