Guest guest
Dear Nisarbhakti, We may come across different styles and wordings from different Spiritual Masters to explain the Ultimate Reality. We may also find differences in approaches prescribed for the disciples to attain the same Reality. But all of them aim to take you to the same Ultimate Reality. Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj and Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi gave greater emphasis for contemplation of the idea “who am I” and encouraged deserving students to take that path seriously. This path is coming under Jnana-marga (school of knowledge or reasoning). This is a valid and proven path. Even Bhakti school of Vedanta (devotional school) accepts this method, “Shaanta-Bhaava”, as one of the five valid devotional approaches to realize the Divine. Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna too has similar validations mentioned in it several times. Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna validated not only a particular approach or system, but has proved to the world by his own realizations that all paths are valid. It is up to us or up to our Gurus to choose one of them and to abide by that chosen path strictly to get progress in spirituality. An important spiritual ethics we need to follow is to nurture friendly feelings to all other valid paths while we stick firmly to our chosen path.
