Guest guest
Inter faith encounter at the Steiner Centre, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire A session on Hinduism was held at the Steiner Centre in the Forest of Dean on the 28th of February . Twenty participants spent the morning exploring the deeper ideas of spirituality. A reconciliation of God as an external Super personality with the idea of God as the innermost core of our being was presented. Many of these participants had travelled long distances to be at this meeting. At the conclusion one lady commented: We came with high expectations and we are pleased to say that our expectations were surpassed.’ The deeper ideas of Hinduism has this effect on the Western mind. Another thing that comes across at such meetings is the real thirst for deeper and broader understanding of all religions. Such inter faith encounters are not meant to undermine anyone’s religious beliefs; they are meant to refresh and revitalize one’s own belief system. jay
