Guest guest
Dear Colleagues We run Monday evening sessions in Wembley for the youth discussing the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The aim is to generate a deeper appreciation of this personality and how his message and teachings are relevant for our times. Last Monday we focused on his letter to Alasinga telling him not to promote Vivekananda as a cult figure. This was one of the special features of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda. They wanted us get away from this dependency on a personality and the cringing servitude that comes with it. This paradigm shift comes at a price. The price is that these personalities and their message remain unknown because majority of humanity prefer to cling to a figurehead! Tonight we discuss the transition of worshipping a God in the temple to worshipping God as greater humanity. Regards jay
