Guest guest
Dear jay: Your comment reminded me of the ancient jews as reported in the Holy Bible. They called on God to send them a king, and He warned them that a king would demand a tenth of their flocks and send their sons to die in battle, but the people would not listen, so God granted their wish - with the expected results. A quote from 1 Samuel 8:6-7, " But when they said, 'Give us a king to lead us such as all the other nations have,' this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord. And the Lord told him: " Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected Me as their king.'
