Hi, All -

I will be in Delhi for business the first couple weeks of April. I would

greatly appreciate any suggestions for things to do on my free time while in the

city -- meditation, puja, kirtan, etc.

I am considering taking several weeks of vacation after work -- end of April

through early May -- to travel. But I am concerned about the time of year and

the heat. Any suggestions for temple, ashram, math, etc., where I may be able

to stay for meditation and practices without dying in the heat?! Or any other

suggestions for meaningful travel in India at this time of the year?

I am a householder devotee of Sri Ramakrishna. Grateful for whatever

suggestions or guidance you may be able to provide me.

blessings,

Devadas (Massachusetts, USA)

Hari Om Ramakrishna

Dear brother Devdas and devotees

Pranam,

If I were you I would do the following:

Spend one day at Belur Muth from evening till mid morning the next day. Apart from the evening prayers etc. I would do some menial work like cleaning the precincts etc. I would go to the Ramakrishna temple for the Mangal Arati - dawn and perform silent japa of the Mantra I received from my late Guru.

Visit Dakhineswar temple

Spend one night each at Kamarpukr and Jairambati and eat from the temple kitchen

Thank you for the suggestion. Others have counseled to head north as well -- so I will travel to Haridwar.--- On Thu, 3/25/10, JAcinta Ford <cintal8 wrote:
