Guest guest Posted August 23, 2009 Report Share Posted August 23, 2009 Shirdi Villagers withdraw Agitation.Ahmednagar, Aug 23 : Villagers of the temple town of Shirdi, who were on a hunger strike since last two days, protesting the decision to take Padukas (footmarks) of Sai Baba to America, withdrew their agitation today after the temple trust decided against the move.The villagers had also demanded removal of the present Board of Trustees managing the Sai Baba Sansthan, but withdrew their agitation after the Board decided against the visit.Sai Baba Sansthan president Jayant Sasane pacified and assured the local residents that the decision to send the Padukas to the US had been cancelled. Talking to UNI, Mr Sasane confirmed that he had cancelled the proposed visit to America.
