The camp arranged by the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation of Botswana is now in its 20th year, and is part of a Global Blood Donation Day held in more than 200 countries. The organization’s spiritual leader Sri Sathya Sai Baba has described the act of giving blood as a gift of ‘liquid love.’“Blood Donation is totally selfless as neither the donor knows who the recipient will be, nor will the recipient know from whom the blood comes,†he says. Over the years the Francistown camp has collected an average of 100 bottles of blood from each session, which is collected by the Blood Donation Unit of the Ministry of Health who will be present at the camp. Apart from the knowledge that your gift could help save a life, donors are given refreshments and a commemorative T-shirt. sourced: http://www.thevoicebw.com/index.php?option=com_content & view=article & id=1553:liquid-love & catid=34:news & Itemid=53 LIQUID LOVE You could be a lifesaver this weekend by donating blood at the Francistown Blood Donation Camp. The annual event will be held at the Mater Spei Multipurpose hall on Sunday from 9am, and will be officially opened by the Minister of Labour and Home Affairs, the Hon Peter Siele.
