Guest guest
Live Darshan of KVT & Shirdi Sai Baba Temple on your MobileRajeev Dikshit, TNN 8 October 2009VARANASI: Can't come to Kashi for a darshan of Lord Vishwanath at Kashi Vishwanath temple (KVT)? Don't worry. In a week or two, live darshan of the Lord Vishwanath will be possible on your mobile phone, whatever network user you may be. Till date, Siddivinayak is the first one to provide darshan on mobile, though similar darshan of Sai Baba of Shirdi, among others, may also soon be a possibility. To facilitate the devotees of Lord Vishwanath, the Kashi Vishwanath temple administration had already launched its website a few years back, while live darshan through direct to home (DTH) was also available, courtesy a private company. Now, one more private company has made a tie-up with KVT to provide the facility of live darshan on mobiles. Executive officer of KVT AK Pandey informed that the tie-up with the company had been finalised and necessary equipment installed. The technical head of the company, Darshit Jobaliya, told TOI on Thursday: "The testing of this facility has been started and live darshan will be possible in a week or two." He said his company was handling projects of making the facility of live darshan of religious sites of the country. For the first time such a facility was introduced at Siddhivinayak temple of Mumbai. "The live darshan of Kashi Vishwanath and Sai Baba temple at Shirdi could be started simultaneously in the next few days," he added. "This facility can be availed of by the user of any cellular mobile service provider company on a monthly payment of Rs 30-Rs 50," he said. The sanctum sanctorum of KVT would be accessible in hours when it was opened. To enjoy this facility, one must keep a mobile with multimedia facility. The temple administration has not only made a tie-up with this company for the live darshan of Kashi Vishwanath on mobile, but also given it the opportunity to sponsor the website of the temple. Pandey said at the time of launching of the temple's website, the State Bank of India had agreed to pay the charges of web-hosting. The bank paid the charges in financial year 2007-2008. But, later, it asked the temple administration to bear the cost of web-hosting itself. Pandey said as the temple administration was not ready to increase burden on the temple's exchequer, it had decided to search for a sponsor. Pandey said addition of many new features on the web page of the temple's site was also proposed in the coming days.Source - http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/varanasi/Now-darshan-at-KVT-on-your-mobile/articleshow/5102360.cmsDarshan bOOn...Me sOOn...- rOhit beHaL Keep up with people you care about with India Mail.
