The mob was also critical of local councillors, who did not try to stop the demolition of Sai Baba temple. A section of the mob got involved in the violence and damaged furniture in the ward office. While the incident took place during the working hours at the office, no one was injured. Some persons from the mob also went to VMC head office at Khanderao Market to raise the temple issue.
