The Sri Sathya Sai Education Wing (Mauritius) is holding a two days’ workshop cum exhibition (from 31 Oct to 01 Nov 2009) at the Anandam, La Caverne ,Vacoas with the participation of a large number of Balvikas gurus , parents, devotees and guests.

The leitmotif of the workshop is networking and maintaining quality and standard specially of the ‘gurus’ as Bhagawan Baba would fondly prefer to call them instead of ‘teachers’ laying emphasis on the nature and importance of their work with children.

‘Among all professions’ says Bhagawan Baba ’the teaching profession carries the greatest responsibility. Teachers have to mould the young of today, so that they will grow up as worthy citizens of tomorrow.’

On this special occasion the Sri Sathya Sai Service Organization Mauritius has come up with a beautiful little book entitled- ‘Mahavakya for Bal Vikas Guru’ which contains a treasure of guidelines and information for ‘gurus’, including the duties and functions of a Bal Vikas teacher, the requisites of a Bal Vikas teacher, the three sadhanas, namely mental sadhana, intellectual sadhana and spiritual sadhana for ‘gurus’ as set out by the Divine Guidelines and the SSE teacher’s pledge.
