Swami once said most Beautifully in the Portico of the old Prasanthi Mandir :

 

Sri Krishna could have stopped and Finsihed the Kurukshetra War as soon as it started, Sri Rama could have killed Ravana by himself at the Blink of an eye, But Both of them wanted the world to know and future people to understand the meaning of Bhakti through Hanuman and Arjuna. Pure Bhakti means thinking about the Lord without accepting anything in Return. If you think of the Lord without accepting anything in Return, He will give you each and everything and much more.
