Annual Day - Dec 30th, 2009 to Jan 1st 2010

 

 

 

Dear Brothers

Countdown to the most awaited day of the year has begun. We all are eagerly looking forward to being at the Lotus Feet of our Lord, our Swami. It gives me great pleasure in sharing that we have getting lot of interesting input and ideas from brothers all around the globe for the Annual meet on Jan1st , 2010.

Our Annual Meet program is divided into 3 major events, namely:

1) Grama Seva: Village service activity – this is usually done on 30 Dec.

 

2) Interactive session with Bhagawan: prayfully on 31 Dec.

 

3) Jan 1st program: procession, talks and music program.

The gram seva element is very beautifully coordinated by brothers in Parthi and nearby places. Still we do look for input and ideas to make this initiative more effective and productive.

The next 2 items on the agenda requires more participation from each and every one. Our main thought while putting the program together has been to have maximum time with Bhagawan and create maximum opportunity for the boys to interact with Swami.

Here are some proposed ideas which are doable and require immediate attention and support from each and every alumni around the world. To make this a worthy offering it is humbly requested that you all please respond and revert ASAP. All these input would be used for either of the days presentations, as per the situation.

1. 1. Video presentation on the activities done (or involved) by the Sai Students. Here we request every student to share their videos / pictures of any activities (service) they are involved with. It is also suggested to think under the general heading ``a day in Sai Student`s life``. Any report with pictures or videos that can be shared will be highly appreciated. We are in the process of compiling the information into a video presentation for Swami. Please cooperate and contribute. Last date of submission is Nov15th.

Some of the talented brothers have offered to prepare a portrait of Swami with student’s pictures. For that we require each and every one of the students to send in the bust size pictures via email at the earliest. Maximum participation would make this a better offering from all of us. 3. 3. Various talent offerings by the students:

a. Brothers who are blessed to write poetry (in any language) are requested to send in their names items (languages). Depending upon the contributions we can plan for a ``Mushayara` ` or a ``Kavi–Samelan``. b. Painters and artists are requested to share their talents. This could be on the spot painting or /and offering of your work already done. Please feel free to share your ideas or thoughts to enhance this offering. c. Public Speakers: specifically who have spoken in front of Bhagawan and / or have flair of narrating stories and incidences.

d. Any other talent or special offering you would like to present, please feel free to share.

4. 4. Names of the office bearers: Those of us who are office bearers in the Sathya Sai Organization, in any capacity what so ever, please forward your details as requested under at the earliest.
