“Encourage the formation of the Mahila Vibhag, the Bal Vikas, the Seva Dal and the Seva Samithi in your region for the Janata-Kalyan (the peace and prosperity of the people)”- Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Whilst the Grace of Bhagawan Baba had reached the villages of Puttaparthi in the form of medical and educational facilities, to follow the steps of the Spiritual Master and to be in line with His teachings, the Sri Sathya Sai Centre of Curepipe, Mauritius, adopted a ward of the Victoria General Hospital,situate at Candos, in 1989. The inaugural ceremony was performed by late Pundit Jassodanan OBE, one among the first active devotees of Bhagawan Baba in the island.

Ward B9 is a ladies’ ward which also accommodates ailing young children.

 No wonder, Ward B9 is the ‘chouchou’ of the Mahila Vibhag of Curepipe. Every Baba Birthday Celebrations, and for Ladies Day, which is celebrated world –wide on the 19th of November, the in patients are offered a special birthday present which comprises of a visit to them by the Mahila Vibhag, a distribution of toiletries, douceurs and fruits and this year, for the 84th Birthday Celebrations and for Ladies Day, the patients were also lovingly offered a Hi-Fi system- a gift from the heart. Bliss shone on every face, as Baba revealed Himself both in the giver and the receiver. Give a smile; receive a smile in return. Give love; receive love in return.

‘Come, one and all. See in Me, yourself, for I see myself in you all!’- Baba.

Whether we undertake sadhana or seva, Baba is interested only in our thoughts, actions and words.
