Dhyana (Concentration) Dhyana means constant thinking or contemplation. Usually, our thoughts do not stay on one object for a long time. The process of fixing the thought process on an idol or a candle light or a mantra for an extended period of time is dhyaana. In other words, our thought should return to the same object repeatedly in very quick succession. By doing so, one can ensure that the object gets firmly imprinted in one's mind. The process by which an object or an idea becomes imprinted in the mind is Dhyana.Achieving concentration of mind is indeed an arduous task. When one tries to fix one's mind on noble thoughts and on God, the mind tries to go in the opposite direction.Though it may seem that the mind gets easily fixed to materialistic pleasures, strangely, it gets bored there also and will start wandering from one place to another in pursuit of grazing in a

pasture. It is always attracted to the green patch of grass which is at a distance. It stops grazing here and tries to reach the 'greener pasture'. This goes on till the evening and many times it returns home, still hungry. The basic instincts of man tend to lead him astray even while meditating and worshipping. Our attempt should be to get our thoughts focused as much as possible on the prayer or on Baba's physical form. In early stages it is a mixed situation. With practice, prayer and faith in Baba it gets controlled. Whenever you have such a thought please pray Baba to help you mentally".According to Psychological sciences ups and downs in life, desires and depressions will take a heavy toll of the mind and renders it weak and incapable of concentrating. Those who cheat and deceive will never be able to enjoy peace of mind. This is a well established theory and not a religious

preaching. Keeping this fact in mind, all the religions have categorically reiterated the importance of leading a life pure in thought, actions and words. One should start it and strive in that direction till it becomes a practice. One should not give up in the middle. To achieve this, one should take refuge in a Guru and practice under His supervision.Baba Said:- "Blesses is he who knows the greatness of his Guru and thinks Him to be Hari and Brahma (Trinity) Incarnate". Baba is every where just feel him and keep on saying `Om Sai Ram' to whom so ever you meet. OM SAI SRI SAI JAI JAI SAI!!! Let us pray at the lotus feet of Bhagwan Baba who is the incarnation of all gods and protector of all, to show mercy on us, and increase our devotion towards him Jai Sai RamSwamy MahadevanBow to Shri Sai-Peace be to allBaba Bless you

ever!!!
