Guest guest
Today is the day when, during the saagara mathana (churning of the ocean), Amritha (nectar) emerged and was distributed to the Gods. The Gods had slid into the calamity of lowering their immortality! Man too is the child of immortality; that is the reason why he cannot force himself into the conviction that he would die. Today everyone present must endeavour to enter upon the quest of Truth. Today's Uttarayana is Uttama Kala (the best time). On the Sacred early morning of today , the Great Bhishmacharya waited long on the bed of arrows prepared by Arjuna. On this morning Surya turns north towards the the direction of the Divine Gods and that is the direction where Shiva resides. The Sun controls the eye, the vision of every Human Being on this earth, and so during these Most sacred six months when the sun is moving Towards the the direction of Shiva, are also the most Sacred for every person to Indulge in Dhyanam, Japam and Satsangamu. Festivals were Designed to make People understand the True nature of Divinity and in order also to make people understand their True Divine nature. On this Vaikunta Ekadasi day We must ask What is Vaikunta? "Vaikunta," is the abode of the God and is a place which is changeless. In Man many things change , but his heart always the same, it never changes. What is Ekadasi? This is not a special place or time. The form of Ekadasa Rudra is made up of the five organs of perception, the five organs of action and the mind. Rudra is a resident of the human body, which is full of numerous potencies. Men today are forgetful of these potencies and the divinity that dwells in the heart. Vaikunta is within everyone of you, Follow your Mind and you will reach it. -From Swami's Vaikunta Ekadasi Discourse in 1980 in Prasanthi Nilayam. Om Sai Ram The INTERNET now has a personality.
