Regarding: Earthquake in Haiti

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Sai Ram!

We are responding to the devastating earthquake in Haiti without delay. Our response will be orderly and effective. The safety of all of our Sai Workers will be carefully considered.

Our base of operations will be located in Dominican Republic, a neighbor to Haiti. There are Sai Centers and devotees there who will be the initial responders. Some physicians in South America, Central America, and USA have already been contacted. The Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation will establish a Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund if Swami approves. All Sai Organizations will receive further instructions after obtaining Swami’s Guidance in the next few days.

The base station in Dominican Republic will commence without delay. The assessment of the situation and our ability to respond immediately with devotees from Dominican Republic and subsequently with disaster relief teams (including medical personnel and others) from neighboring countries is ongoing. These efforts will continue and I will write to all of you again upon receiving further Divine Guidance from our Beloved Swami.

Let us pray for the people of Haiti.
