Hislop: Swami also gives us extra life. Dr. Bhagavanthan,s wife told Swami, "Swami, I do not want to die until I see your fiftieth birthday." So Swami said, "All right, do not worry, do not worry. What is this talk about dying?"

 

So she lived until she saw the birthday, and then she said to Swami, "Swami, I am ready to die now." Swami said, "This is foolish talk what about your husband?" She said, "I do not care about my husband at all. I only care about God."

 

Swami answered, "No, no you go to live with your son now in Madras and see the new child." She went there and saw the child, and then on the way to the airport, the son noticed there was no talking in the back seat. So he looked around and his mother was on the seat, dead.

 

Swami told me, "You know, her natural life come to an end before My fiftieth birthday. But I gave her extra life.

 

In the same way, my prostate gland suddenly enlarged and shut off urethra . They took me to a hospital in Bangalore, they botched the operation, and I became worse. Swami said, I will get the best doctor in India." This "best" doctor looked me and said, " I won't operate on that man. Why should I spoil my perfect record, he is going to die. Swami said, "Don,t worry, I will take care of everything." So the doctor performed the operation.

 

It puzzled me-- this whole farce-- since Swami could have cured the condition with just a movement of His hand as soon as I had trouble. Why did He gave me to go through days of absolute agony?

 

I did not know whether I was coming or going. But I finally figured it out. I said "Well , Swami, I Finlay figured it out. That was the end of my natural life. Swami let me go down to the very end and then gave me additional life." Swami said, "Yes, Hislop, you finally got this. That is right.
