True to the saying, these talented students are trained to aim high and soar high. Students from Sri Sathya Sai Music College that specializes in fine arts of music made an attempt distinguish themselves with specific musical touch in their attempt to pay Gratitude to Bhagawan, in the evening on Mar, 11. Presenting the fourth Programme in the Gratitude Series, outgoing batch from the college sang in gratitude, to the One who taught them the ‘notes’ of the art of living, in the notes of music, enthralling the assemblage of devotees often leaving them with an exclamatory wow! Commenced with a Carnatic piece, an invocatory song on Lord Ganesha, “Gananatha Mangala Ganapathi…Apni Krupa Ab Keejiye…â€, a Hari Om Saran number with modified musical tilt. Following the usual pattern of intermittent commentary, bringing in anecdotes of His deeds in their lives that did wonders, they poured their hearts out where the only language heard was that of Love alone though expressions chose to take vernacular voices. Followed by the Carnatic piece, they had in their repertoire a brilliant piece of Hindustani, a Veena recital to the tune of “Anupama Sundara Nanda Kishora…†followed by a Jugal Bandhi that had intermittent vocal, finally to conclude with a Qawwali. Some of them had completed two years, some others five and some seven years, but all had one united voice about the excellence of facilities and teaching support provided by Bhagawan at the college. Every student has a tender touch for Bhagawan deep within that bustles the being to devotional ecstasy and in that joy of being in His immediate presence they forget everything except Him, and with that feeling they ‘yelled’ “We Love You Swami…Please come to Music Collegeâ€. The programme that commenced at 5:40 lasted for 55 minutes, to conclude with the Qawwali at 6:35. Earlier, in the evening, Bhagawan was ushered into the hall at 5 to the chants of Vedam. After a ten-minute round of Darshan, upon ascending verandah, Bhagawan interacted with 'seniors' from Delhi that included Lt. Gen. (Retd.) ML Chibber, Former Diplomat MK Rasgotra, Former Air Chief Marshal OP Mehra, Former Education Secy, MK Kaw and State President of SSSSO, Jitendra Cheema, for five minutes before proceeding further to come on stage. Vedam continued for sometime as Bhagawan continued to sit listening to the chants. In between, Bhagawan had a word with one of the Vedam boys asking for 'loud chanting' and what followed was a 'full-throat' chanting joined by the Primary School children as well, till Bhagawan nodded for the programme to commence. After the programme, Interactions, Photograph session and presentation of clothes followed for the next fifteen minutes before Arathi was offered at 6:50. Prasadam was distributed to the students and staff. After interacting with some seniors, Bhagawan retired to Yajur Mandiram at 7:08.
