CHAPTER 69

With every moment that passes, the mind will continue to think - thoughts of the past, thoughts of what your eyes may see, thoughts of what your ears may hear,

thoughts of the current emotions you feel - thoughts that will plan your tomorrow and so on... With time passing by, your mind, too, begins to feel aged with the load you carry, the impressions you make, the worries you fear, and every desire that awakens within the fear of being

fulfilled. The mind, like any other part of the body, must be trained to function. With intense practice, the hands learn the skill to use a pen, to write. A child will

stumble, several times, before it learns to walk with confidence. In the same way, you must exert control on the mind by not allowing it to stray, or else you, My dears, will never know peace. The mind is like a camera that will capture all that the body encounters and will develop each moment into a series of thoughts that it stores in its bank. The mind continues to function, even when the body remains inactive, replaying sporadic thoughts of that which it has already experienced and

stored in its memory. It is like an automatic replay button that plays without your own knowledge, allowing you to experience several unhappy incidents of the past or even your imaginary worries of the future.

Begin with playing the game of constantly rejecting every thought. Each thought that begins to formulate must, instantly, be erased by focusing the mind on perfect purity. And what can be more pure than the name of the Lord, Himself? Remember, each thought that registers in the mind, will, one day, allow you and urge you to act upon it. You, My child, have mentally acted upon the sin by merely allowing to complete the evil thought process. The mind will control you only as long as you will allow it to be your master. You have allowed the mind to control you through several ages, and believe Me, it will not give up, without a fight. So be prepared for true hard work, and master this exercise with sincere effort - the effort of being

thoughtless and allowing the mind to rest. To encompass yourself in purity, the mind, too, must taste the sweetness of innocence and the silence of divinity. Give your mind a focus - the focus of one name and one form that will silently control its wild tendencies to destroy every moment of peace that you may experience. When the mind will live in contentment with the Lord, every desire will meet with fulfillment, and the bliss of contentment will speak in your radiant smile and your selfless acts. Begin to think less and just follow the heart more! Thinking will only take away the present and will make the future fearful with expectations. Strengthen the mind by giving it a goal, by giving it a direction and by training it to listen to your command of "stop". The Lord must be remembered by thinking of Him, continually, and when God becomes the mind, life, too, will only be God! Break the chains of slavery, and protest the rule of this unrighteous and untruthful master.

Know that the mind lives in constant fear of being conquered, and inflicts its anxieties on its victim - you! It's time to rise above the limitations the mind has set on you, rise, and release yourself from the

prison of binding thoughts.- Divine Messages received and recorded by Mrs Seema M Dewan(Copyright
