Guest guest
Hello, Issue on magazines not reaching people far & wide, and more peculiarly the wrapper alone getting despatched! we all hear about it. Quite disappointing to the recipient, to receive an empty gift box. No doubt our folks are diligent enough to send us the magazine, loss is during the transit, one attribute being the cover not steadfast. It is not possible to put it in sealed covers because of the overhead, SAM is incurring about 16Rs. in postage for this being a Book Post. Believe the annual subs. is ~350Rs, roughly half of it is being paid to postal dept! Its incumbent upon us to decide what to do further. If we glue the wrapper to the cover, we would miss on the front/back cover snaps of Babs. Options: Could incur the cost of sealed delievery, (or) comeup with some idea for the current scheme. some thoughts...
Guest guest
SHANKARAM SIVA SHANKARAM SAM could get a list of overseas rs, send them a brief letter explaining the problem and requesting an addition of $X , depending on the country and number of issues requested so that, the magazine can be wrapped in a closed cover or envelope(the simplest...) For all those who respond, the magazine can be wrapped better and, for those who don't the magazine can be wrapped the usual way till they respond. Going forward, probably, we could change the subscription amount for overseas subscription to reflect this. Ganesh, what do you think? Is this too difficult from SAM's perspective? Guest guest
Praveena, The subscription amount may be revised straight away to atleast Rs.1000/= and that will solve this problem. Our magazine can come in a prestigeous fashion wrapped up in a cellophane cover, like all the other magazines! I can well visualize a nice sealed bag with BABA's photograph on one side and address & other particulars on the other side ! Samratchana is no way less in quality of its contents, why should we compromise on the wrapper ? I am confident that ALL the overseas rs would voluntarily come forward to WRITE TO THE SUBSCRIPTION department enclosing the differential amount and requesting for a better wrapper ! + Raghavan Murali --- Praveena C <c_praveena wrote: > SHANKARAM SIVA SHANKARAM > SAM could get a list of overseas rs, > send them a brief > letter explaining the problem and requesting an > addition of $X , > depending on the country and number of issues > requested so that, the > magazine can be wrapped in a closed cover or > envelope(the > simplest...) Guest guest
Wow! Murali, rolling on green bills?! Good, send me a bag will you? There goes our Marketing man, with his fundas! Now, dont come up with a conversion equation, just kidding. Ok, coming to the point, Praveena, though I cant vouch for the Mag. Dept as such, I guess it shouldnt be a hassle taking into account the number of offshore folks. NCS, could you pl. talk to them and let us know about the additional cost? Your help is very much appreciated. , Raghavan Murali <dayamurali> wrote: > Praveena, > > The subscription amount may be revised straight away > to atleast Rs.1000/= and that will solve this problem. > Our magazine can come in a prestigeous fashion wrapped > up in a cellophane cover, like all the other > magazines! > I can well visualize a nice sealed bag with BABA's > photograph on one side and address & other particulars > on the other side ! > > Samratchana is no way less in quality of its contents, > why should we compromise on the wrapper ? > > I am confident that ALL the overseas rs would > voluntarily come forward to WRITE TO THE SUBSCRIPTION > department enclosing the differential amount and > requesting for a better wrapper ! > > + Raghavan Murali
Guest guest
Shankaram Siva Shankaram Hi, During one of the conversations with Baba sometime back,HE was of the opinion that once the .org is ready with our own webserver, the magazine contents can be put on the site itself which i guess is a very much feasible in the near future. This would have an unlimited audience which is His prime target. regards Kalyan
