Shankaram Siva Shankaram !!

 

Aug 22, 2000 - the birthday (!!!) of our own dear sweeeeet, adorable,

charming , fascinating .... well, the only word that can describe

Krishna is INDESCRIBABLE !!?

 

We had Bhagavad Gita parayana, evening bhajans,interim sweets and

savouries were distributed . Then Harathi was performed.

And after the Harathi came the main event -

How our hearts look forward with enthusiasm to dancing around our

Krishna ++.

At last .... well, Babs did not make us wait for long... the

Brindavan Bhajan started.

 

For all those of you who have not witnessed this, Brindavan bhajan

is reliving the times of Krishna when Krishna danced amidst the

gopis. What fun it is dancing around Baba!!

 

And the best part of it is you realize that your inhibitions have

fallen off in your fervour to dance around Babs. You understand that

this is the true aim of spirituality - to lose consciousness of

oneself so much that you have actually found the inner self, in that

one moment of oneness with the Lord. And even a glimpse is a lifetime

of bliss. That is what happens every Pournami - everyone completes

their duty on time to be present for the bhajan....

 

And when it happens to be a special event like our own Krishna's

birthday .... Wow!!!

 

The bhajan started around 12:45 am on 23rd August 2000 and went upto

3:00 am. Tired?? Not at all!! Given the least opportunity, we would

have loved to continue this ... forever....

But I suppose the time has not come for that bliss.... so until then,

we have to make do with whatever we get....

 

My sincere request to everyone planning to visit Samratchana during

holidays, please see if you can stay around for a Pournami. It is

Heaven in all its splendour and gaiety.

 

Looking forward to the day when all of us will be relieved of our

materialistic necessities and can be forever dancing and singing with

SWEEEEEEEEEET BABS......
