Guest guest Posted July 4, 2001 Report Share Posted July 4, 2001 my pranams to baba. to my little knowledge we call lord vinayaka as the prime god(moola kadavul)and we can find in all the temples irrespectives of the deities.so he is said to be the pradhana kadavul.we worship him first before seeing any deity.and moreover he as far as i know has not changed with time(he has not taken avtars correct me if iam wrong at least facially he has not changed)and he sits in his place and invites people to see him.he gives a clarity of thoughts(think of the incident with lord muruga.he proved to the world its only parents are everything)He is kaliyuga kadavul. with regards to breaking cocunuts it signifies breaking the diffculty and the barriers in life and acheving what we want in life.my interprtation is as rat happens to be his vahanam, To please the rat which likes cocunuts we alert the rat by breaking it. and its just volunteering between you and god.just like nandhi to lord shiva.and also in'kolukattai' cocunuts are added.so before we start any work we break the coconuts to have a smooth begining and give us a mental clarity.let us share our views on this. shyam Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
