The Tyagaraja temple at Tiruvarur is one of the ancient heritage sites of India

and is a representation of the religio-socio-cultural history of the Tamil

region for a period spanning over several thousand years..Musukundha

Chakravarthy as you all know for his valour prayed Thiagarajar.There has been

instance that Lord Krishna used Muusukunda chakravarthy to fight against

Jarachandan.One more aspect in relation to this place is Sundara Murthy Nayar

was elevated from a human level to Godly status.

mangalam giver..which is wealth and prosperity,and on the other hand it also

destroys evils.

 

Going by history during dawning of kail yuga in praba vasa patinam Lord Krishna

was preparing himself to leave his body.Few people who were there besides them

cast their aspiration about Kali yuga and asked him,whom to pray,with what to

pray as water only prevalent.

 

Krishna as a parting advice told them,SANKARA,SANKARA,hold on to him he can only

give you solace in the coming yuga.Offer him with flowers,you have water from

the river,do abishekam to him.

 

Further Thiru Gnana Sambandar says, " pray Lord Shiva to get out of cluthes of

this Kali Yuga " . " Aran namamae sooztthirutharea..

 

Thevaram was also sung here,take the case of the 63 Nayanmars.They devoted their

work to God.All of them devoted their work to Lord,to name some.Kungalikalai

nayanar use to offer " sambrani " (fragranted smoke) to Lord.By offering this

relentlessly he became a nayanmar.So as Tirukuripu nayanar,he use wash daily a

devotee of Lord shiva's clothes before washing others.Thus he also attained the

divine status.Likewise all who do service at Samratchana are Nayanmar/Alwars you

need not have any doubts on this.

 

A true Mahan will not try to pose himself, as he is sure of what he is.Mahans

need not impress anybody.Vallalar came to this earth 150 years back.He was ready

to offer it to the society the divine power which he had.But the society was not

ripe and ready to accept it.It ignored him,loser is the society not him.He went

back saying i opened a shop but there was no takers.Now Shiva Sankar Baba has
