Some of you would have heard thro phone. this mail is for the others who didnt / cudnt. First of all kudos to monica and praveeena( and their spouses ) who had done a great job in organising BABA's visit. It was a pleasure to be hosted by them. All that i am going to say now is from my perspective and others may have others things to add. lets follow chronologically... Time : 27th Oct - Saturday Place : Praveena's house The morning started with calls about BABA's arrival and ppl pouring in to receive BABA. For some reason BABA's plane arrived 1.5 hrs early and becos of the confusion that ensued a couple of us including the organisers and me cudnt make it to the airport to receive HIM. Anyways all that bad feeling flew away as soon as BABA arrived home. The excitement cudnt be contained and all of us were in a festive mood. BABA had some coffee and met all of us. Chatted for sometime and went to take rest. He did the nithya homam late in the evening and we headed to Mr. Sundar's home for a potluck dinner. It was all fun and jokes all the way. PPl getting lost in CA and missing phone calls. There were some tense moments in the organising but on the whole we all had a big laugh. BABA showed the kelambakkam video to all there and we had Tinku (anita vaz rechristened by me as " MARY " ) entertaining us with her beautiful melodious voice. It was already very late and BABA was tired and so we wound up quickly and went to Praveena's home for the rest of the night. The next day : 28th Oct. Sunday All those who stayed in Praveena's place( bhawaj, raji and mani and me) had a Perumal sevai early in the morning. We were all sleeping in the Hall and BABA came in the morning to wake us up (not exactly cos HE doesnot wake up anybody in sleep) and the First thing we saw as we opened our eyes is HIM!!!!... such a nice feeling... BABA insisted that since we are having a holiday we shudnt rush thro things and forget the fun and so everything happended slowly. the Picnic supposed to be starting at 8 in the morning got indefinitely late and finally we left home at noon after homam to a place called the " Mystery Spot " .( i got to drive BABA to that place!!!) This is a place where all rules of gravity are defied and indirectly we happened to " catch " BABA do some miracles like walking on wall, standing slant, reducing height of ppl etc... The point was anybody there got to do it!!!!! snaps and videos will be posted soon in the site. after this we had a lunch in the woods and the food was great. the speciality for the day was a mid east dessert cooked by some muslim friend of muniyamma (monica rechristened by me). all this was interleaved with jokes and pranks and laughter. we had to wind up our picnic soon as we were getting late for evening satsang in some Hall in Oakland,CA. BABA too rest for sometime and the rest of us started preparing for the event. Some of us went to the Hall to decorate and some cooked prasads. We had a decent crowd of about 25-30 ppl and BABA spoke for a whooping 2.5 hrs!!!. HE said a lot of interesting things like " China will split and Kailash will come to India " , " Pakistan will become nothing " , " Islam vs Christianity war " etc. He said Mass destruction was inevitable for the NEW ORDER to be in place. Nice prasadam(s) was given to all attendees and BABA personally met with all. That night was the best for us (atleast me!!). We spent the night in Mr. Bala Sharma's residence and we( Bharadwaj, ganesh, Raji, MAni and Me) went to give HIM company. We applied all sorts of creams to his hands and feet and massaged him enuf. It was more of an exercise to fulfil our whims rather than HIS need for creams and massage. Anyways HE " cooperated " with us and subject himself to this extreme hospitality. We shared jokes and commented about anything and everything under the sun. Bhawaj, ganesha and me slept in the same bedroom around BABA's cot and again the next day we got up with BABA's darshan and voice. that was going to be the last couple of hours for bhawaj and me in CA and so we had to pack up and get ready. Homam was performed in Mr. Balas' place and we left to our destination from our FINAL destination (BABA) at around noon on monday. This is all i could write about in my duration of stay with BABA. I hope praveena or monica would continue from where i left and others in later times and places. I am looking fwd to meeting HIM in houston and may be i will give an account of the things there later. I could write a book out of what all happened but time constraints me!!! hope you all had fun reading this as much as i had writing this!!! snaps and video's will follow shortly.
