What is Spiritual Macrobiotic Diet?

A large number of saints, prophets and many current day spiritual teachers

advocate a " macrobiotic diet " to progress correctly and speedily on the

spiritual path.

" Macrobiotics " comes from Greek ( " macro " meaning " large " or " long " and " bios "

meaning " life " ).

The basis of this 'macrobiotic approach' is Einstein's theory of Relativity. It

is important for you to understand that the entire manifested universe is

composed of vibrational energy. Matter is nothing but vibrations of low

frequency (i.e. slow vibrations).

Solid matter vibrates very slowly. Liquids and gases vibrate a little faster.

Your own thoughts and certain other energies vibrate at much higher frequencies.

The higher frequencies can penetrate the lower frequencies (eg. Light passes

through water, sound travels through air).

Likewise, the food we eat is has its own subtle vibrations ('prana'). This is

many a times impinged with people who have handled it. These invisible " subtle

vibrations " are transferred to the mind and body of the person eating the food.

Prana is simply energy that is similar to electricity. It just vibrates at much

higher frequencies and present in all forms of life.

Some traditional and basic macrobiotic practices include eating more whole

grains, beans and fresh vegetables, eating regularly and less in quantity,

chewing more and maintaining an active and positive life and mental outlook.

Certain foods are good sources of " prana " which help in raising our spiritual

vibrations. In essence, it is " prana " that animates the universe …the " spiritual

essence " that nourishes us when we breathe and when we eat.
