Dear All,

A lengthy one... please read the following items carefully,

 

1) Groups is undergoing some changes w.r.t the postings.

So, whoever needs any attachments from this list are hereby advised

to quickly save them to your local hard-disk or email me the specific

messages (with date) so I can upload them in the proper section.

Message Attachments:

 

Email attachments will no longer be archived in the Messages area,

although will continue to deliver attachments sent by

email. On August 21st, all attachments in the Messages area will be

removed, and will be unable to retrieve the data. Please note:

All of your group messages will remain. Only the attachments will be

deleted.

 

Before August 21st, if you want to preserve them, you must move your

old message attachments. To do so, go to the Messages area and click

on " Expand Messages. " This lets you view many attachments on one page

so you can download them easily. Then you can upload them to the

Files and Photos areas in your groups. The Files and Photos features

will allow you to better organize your email attachments.

This is more of a concern for those who are not receiving " Individual

emails " from this list.

 

Those who upload files and/or photos as attachments are hereby

requested to put them in the " Files " or " Photos " section, I would

suggest you create a folder name as the login you use, in those

sections and then point to the link in your email, something like the

following:

I know it might not be as easy as before, but got to live with this.

2) The Membership for this group has been changed from Open to

Restricted, what this means, anyone who is joining this list must be

approved by one of the Moderators:

Suresh Krishna (sknaa)

Bharadwaj (sssbhawaj)

 

Previously anyone could join without any authorization required, I

have to change this due to unsolicited trespassing and junk posts.

 

3) All job related emails will be forwarded

to " _jobs " , there are really very few

members there. I would like to encourage you to to that

list as well, you never know who might need help!
