Baba's birthday celebrations in California Temple

Dear Everyone,

Baba's birthday was celebrated with great happiness and enthusiasm at

Ganesh Shastrigal's temple in Sunnyvale, CA. Baba's photo was richly

decorated with flowers by an Uncle in the temple. All Samratchanites

(parents, couples, children) in the Bay Area and other regular

visitors to the temple joyously participated in the celebrations.

 

A Special Homam was performed. Ganesh Shastrigal chanted the mantras

('Shri Siva Shankara Mahaatmane Namaha') while a Samratchanite

devoutly performed the Homam, offering ghee to the sacrificial fire.

Imagine the joy of the Samratchanite who was performed Homam on

Baba's birthday! We could all participate in the Homam by offering

flowers, rice, puffed rice, etc. to the fire. We went round Baba

three times, gently fanned Him - the empyreal Baba!

 

During Harathi, 'Om Jai Siva Shankarane' song was played and we

performed Harathi for Baba singing the song with unexplainable bliss,

hoping the song would never end and we could continue to perform

Harathi...

 

The place was filled with so much happiness... Everyone received

something special... Jayashree received three cassettes containing

Baba's speeches, Srinivas received a Telegu pamphlet about Baba...

We all had Prasadam, food given by Baba with His blessings and simply

rejoiced.

 

Our respect and thanks to Ganesh Shastrigal who made this possible by

constructing a temple by Baba's grace and celebrating HIS birthday in

such a special way and bringing us so much happiness.

Dear Praveena,

We are all very happy to read your mail. Really Baba

is everywhere and making us happy in every possible

way. We could visualise the Birthday celebrations

there and we are also very happy. One of my relatives

who is in California had come here and she described

in detail about your Pujas there and said there are

many devotees there. She told that Baba is very famous

there. Hats off to Ganesh Sastrigal and you people.

Many more such temple are going to come in future and

many more Ganesha Sastrigals also!!!
