- Praveena Wednesday, February 02, 2005 9:03 AM Ideas for SathsangShankaram Siva ShankaramDear All, Just as how we have daily Sathsangs in Kelambakkam, Thoothu Mami (Baba calls her so, explaining that she is Thooimaiyaana Thulasi, shortened into Thoothu Mami) suggested that we could have similar Sathsangs at least twice a month by joining together with Samratchanites in and around an area, all over the world; so more and more people will come to know about Samratchana and be benefitted. Here are Thoothu Mami's ideas for Sathsang in the Bay area. You could also do something similar whereever you are located, so that whichever part of the world we are in, Samratchana will always be in our hearts and it would be a service by which others around us would also be benefitted. Please do not hesitate to share other ideas you may have. Future Plans for Sathsang in the Bay areaI Sathsang – Every 2nd and 4th Saturdays During the Sathsang, we could do the following: a) Each of us could sing a song about Baba b) Share their first experience with Baba to the group, continuing with recent experiences. c) Perform Ashtothara Archanai together to Baba's Paadhugai d) Bhajans for 30 minutes to an hour e) Read some pages about Baba from various Samratchana publications f) Harathi for Baba g) Drishti Harathi for devotees h) Partake Prasadam togetherII Meet at the temple on Uthrada Nakshatram day every month (time may vary) Perform Sahasranam Archanai (Siva Shankaram Sahasranamam) to Baba's Paadhugai and read Paadhuka Ramamyanam. Sing songs about Baba Perform Harathi for Baba Partake Prasadam together III Every Monday Bhajan classes (Aruna Siva Andadi) for children and everyone interested. Location in the Bay Area: Smt. Vijayalakshmi Subramanian, 1817, English Bay Terrace, San Jose, CA 95131
