Guest guest
Test of Devotees devotion by God- Unconditional surrender to God:- Baba In Karnataka State, there was a poor cobbler's family. Once Lord Venkatachalapathy Perumal ( Tirupathi) went in the cobbler's dream and said" You have to offer me 108 Gold coin necklace garland for me". He thought that this is not possible for him and forgot about it. But Perumal went in his dream repeatedly and tells his request for offering. So, he thought that he will truly do it for God. For that , everyone in his family suffer a lot. For 32 years, with much difficulty cutting across all of their expenses, save money to make the gold coin necklace for Perumal. At one time, when they felt that there was shortage of money, they even stopped drinking the liquid rice( Ganji) for their food. They felt "Money is short and we are also growing older. Before our life span ends, we have to offer the Kasi Malai( Gold coin necklace) for God". So at the end, they remained hungry, after stopping to drink the liquid rice. So, thus they made the 108 Gold coin necklace garland and after 32 years, they went to the Tirupathi temple. This is a true event in history which happened 10 or 12 years ago. "Swamy Varam Koduthaalum, Nandhi Varam Kodukaadhu"-- ie. "Even if you get the will of God, you won't get the will of Nandhi"'' This was the situation when they went to the Tirupathi temple or maybe Perumal only wanted to test his devotee more. So, in Tirupathi temple, they did not give permission to offer this Gold coin necklace and put it to God. Since, if a devotee has too much of devotion, He keeps more tests. So, they said that they should pay some fees for offering to Perumal. They told them all about their sufferings and nobody listened to them. Finally, they sat on a fast unto death outside the temple. This issue went to the notice of the Tirupathi Executive Officer and he gave a special order of offering to Perumal without any fee. Then they accepted the Gold coin necklace and wore it for Perumal. When it is given that, "Whatever I give, you have to accept it". Then there is a little conditional surrender in it. "I will give only" is unconditional surrender. That way, you should learn to completely surrender to God. Surrender unconditionally to God: Once one person went to Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and said "Swamy, I feel like giving you some offering". So Swamy said "If you have anything that you feel is the worst thing, then you give that to me. I will accept it". So that man, after much thinking thought that a man's toxic wastes from his body is the only thing that is worst. So, he packed it in a paper and when he started to go. His toxic waste said " Oh! stupid fool! Am I more worst than you. I was a good food item only. After you ate it only, I became like this. So you only tell me whether I am worst or are you?. Then he thought more deeply. Then he realized man is the worst thing in this world. So, he went to Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and said "Swamy, the worst and most unuseful think with me is only Me. You should accept me". Saying this, he offered himself to Swamy. Ramakrishna Paramahamsa accepted him as his devotee and corrected him and he did lot of service for his mission.
